this would mostly be a reminder to myself to start blogging more, and prefer. regularly. This post is written 26 days into 2011 because this is not a new year promise. It's a reminder to myself. Having just gotten rid of Microsoft Writer (the blog editor), and installed the blog-extension for my favorite office suite (OpenOffice) it might just get a bit easier. Anyway people sorry for occupying your time with this little rant... now you know there's still life on this blog......

What to do this weekend? What's your plans for this weekend?

I proudly say I have none, and I will enjoy it. Plans are for work and singles, the only plan you need when your two is to plan not to have anything scheduled for the weekend, so you can enjoy a little spontaneity together...

Weekends are for long breakfasts with your better half, for making dinner together, for sitting down just enjoying each others company... And for doing whatever impulsive thing that pops to mind...

nobody seems to give much thought to the fact that they are already listed a half dozen places on the web with or without their consent. From work contact lists, to public records that used to be far less public before the internet, to phonebooks, and various memberlists.... People get worked up when it comes to social media and such though.

We have taken a what might seem a very public approach with our almost all presence on the web, though I'm sure we in reality post less private information then some of those who think we do to much.

That's because many actually think a walled network like facebook actually is private, but gives little thought to who their friends friends are or what info their various games and apps pull. No system is perfect, if you are concerned about your privacy you should treat anything you post, anywhere as public.

Got any thoughts on the subject do comment or post a subject on our facebook page forum.

microsoft kills live spaces blog

So microsoft is killing their blog platform on live spaces and offer the users to migrate to wordpress, I guess they're giving up on competing in the crowded social marked and are focusing their efforts on search, messenger, and office products online while ad hoc-ing on other social platforms. Ofcourse their not alone google's once mighty blogger has for some time been feeling the heat from competition offering esasier to use and for power users maybe more important easier to customize solutions.Less then a month ago both bloglines and vox where in the process of / announcing that their services would shut down. Okay bloglines is/was technically not a blog service but a rss feed reader that started on blogging popularity. Now I can see why six apart are closing vox as it might not make much sense operating serveral overlapping services, but on different platforms.Yahoo! Gave up their 360 blog platform awhile back now, but did not give up on offering blogging service entirely, but instead they've taking it back to basic, and put it on users pulse page. Giving the user the ability to control who can see each post making it more of an blog/journal thing.. It also collects every post the user makes across the yahoo network which I think it's nice.Is the future only social networks?I welcome your thoughts on the subject.

My wife and I are on several social networks and one I'm particularly found of is ning, but we've had a little trouble getting people to sign up, I think I'm not the only one with a sign-up fatigue so now that ning are changing I thought we could to.

I find it interesting that #cnn was saying; meeting of the leaders of the worlds most powerfull democracy (usa) and the world largest (india), rather then leaving out the word democracy... Could it be that they recon china is the most powerful nation in the world? I'm just saying... That's what I think anyway

nice weekend with my buddy thomas sleeping over - good food by nina who made fried noodles. Most of the eving was spent playing on the ps3, kenneth also stopped by later on in the evening.

Lørdag skravlet jeg med broderen på mobil og nina snakket med hans forlovede på skype. Tidligere på dagen hadde nina vert med hennes far noen ærender i stavanger svigers kjøpte seg en ny LG plasma tv og vi fikk den ikke så veldig gammle toshiba lcd flatskjermen.

Jeg spillet en runde uncharted 2 med www.twitter.com/teo1972 og gleder meg nå som en unge til den kommer ut på playstation 3.

Dagene etter stod nina på og ordnet smørbrød og ostekake men mer om det i en egen post.

So what happened to with the paranoid android who wouldn't share squad on the web? Well, I figured if I was going to share stuff I might do it properly... So now if yo dig a little bit around you can find me present on about every social network there is :).

It's not about being an attention craving megalomaniac (or maybe it's a bit about that) - it's for most part about a genuine love for tech; not tech in itself; but the possibilities it enables people with, when it comes to social interactions.

I've always voiced my opinion about stuff, to whoever friend or family member (unlucky) enough to be standing within my reach, so now I bring it out to the masses instead...

...it's also of course business as usual - in today's media and tech landscape you are your own brand, and more then ever the possibilities are endless; so to stay relevant you either embrace it, or you don't.... I still will give lectures to whoever unlucky friend I can grab hold of on any subject I may care about...

ikke så mye nytt. Nina har vert en del syk / slapp lurer nesten på om det er h1n1 eller borellia.

Ellers ble det ikke noe spa på oss sensommer men snart er det tur til telemark. Vi var i haugesund for ca en uke siden og besøkte mamma som er blitt kne opprert. Helgen som var,var dicte hjemme på perm og lørdag var thomas på besøk.

...og snart er det jul. Har hørt nyss om at lillebror med følge kommer denne vegen da.da.

That has been the question, as I have about three personal blogs with different providers, what's most likely is that I use one for private, one for English and one for Norwegian. And it seems like this blog right here, will end up being the Norwegian one.

Oh No. MS to by Y! ?

As some may have heard it has a lot of bold speaking recently about Microsoft's unsolicited bid for Internet icon Yahoo! one of the few of the old web-boom companies that survived the burst back in 2001.

What I think is this: Yahoo! won't benefit from being bought by Microsoft. And on the longer term I don't think Microsoft would benefit from buying them either, especially if it develops into a hostile takeover.

Microsoft has for first time in years managed to get a bit of a positive buzz, a hostile takeover of Y! would most likely damage their public image.
Also buying a company that has in recent years been sleeping not catching on current web trends, or developing new things on their own, doesn't add any brain-value

I think MS should instead keep focusing on their innovative efforts of recent years. Keep working on their Live platform, keep developing their mobile software, and maybe for alliances with for example a company like Y!. that's what I think...

I think this is a good proverb as it encourage you and tells you that no matter what you lost, it's not an excuse for bad behavior. Cause your character who you are is so fundamental part of your core and nobody can take that away from your. As I said it also implicate that you can't blame bad character on external factors. Food for thought; I say.

Tiden flyr så alt for fort jeg skulle derfor ofte ønske at det var flere timer i døgnet eller en ekstra dag i uka - så jeg kunne få tid til alt.... Jobb, Min Kjære, Mine Foreldre, Min Lillebror, egne interesser, og felles venner og kjente..... skulle gjort noe i hagen, skulle besøkt lillebror i sommer, skulle så meget, og når man egentlig har tid - brukes den til innhenting... avkobling, hva er det egentlig man stresser etter; om man ikke unner seg å ta tid til å bruke den tiden man har til rådighet til det man setter pris på.... på den annen side er jeg kjent for å skrive mye vås og vas når jeg er trøtt...

(english brief version): I'm talking about how annoyingly few hours there are in a day...
